This is the start of 32 posts where I'm going to talk about all the NFL teams. This may help some UK NFL fans decide what team is for them. Since the order of teams will be A-Z, we will start of with the Arizona Cardinals.
Where are they from?
Phoenix, Arizona. Phoenix is a desert city, make sure you pack your hat if you plan on visiting as it's ridiculously hot in the summer, in the 110 degree range, but dry, making it slightly more tolerable. It's beautiful in the winter, more in the 60's to 70's. The incredible heat makes water parks a popular local attraction.
What do they look like?
This will give you a good idea of the look of the Arizona Cardinals. You will see the kit and the logo.
Who are there rivals?
That would be the Arizona Cardinals vs the San Francisco 49ers.
These teams are rivals because they always do battle in the NFC West Division. The 49ers have 5 super bowls to boast about but it's the Cardinals who enjoyed there recent success by reaching the title game. The Cardinals feel it's their turn, whilst the 49ers feel they should be respected by Cardinals fans. This makes for a very interesting grudge match.
Brief History
They are the NFL's oldest team. The cardinals are also the founder members of the NFL. They actually began playing as the Chicago Cardinals in 1920 and have also called St. Louis home before settling in Arizona.
Who to watch out for?
Larry Fitzgerald, number 11. Lot's of people agree that he is the best wide receiver in the the NFL today. He set a single post season record of 546 receiving yards, 30 receptions, and 7 touchdown receptions in 2008.
