NFL Teams Logo Changes

This is just a little post where we will look at some changes a team has made to their logo.

Philadelphia Eagles:

In my personal opinion the logo has improved over time. The look of the Eagle logo improves by every change and I think the current Eagles logo in use is the best by a mile.

Jacksonville Jaguars :

I like the Jags, they are giving up five regular season home games to play in Wembley after all. I like both logos equally, I don't think the logo needed to change but the new logo looks more vicious and serious.

Miami Dolphins :
The first logo is terrible in my opinion, it has improved though. I don't like the new logo very much though.

Arizona Cardinals:

The Cardinals have called both Chicago and St.Louis home before moving to Phoenix, Arizona. The relocations have added to all the logo changes. The Cardinals newest logo though is by far the best they've have and they manage to make the bird look aggressive.

Atlanta Falcons - Who Are They ?

This is the part of 32 posts where I'm going to talk about all the NFL teams and give a summarised insight into the teams. This may help some fans decide what team is for them.

Where are they from?
Atlanta is one of the most growing cities in America. Atlanta is home to the headquarters of Delta Airlines and it's airport is officially the busiest in the world.

What do they look like?

This will give you a good idea of the look of the Arizona Cardinals. You see the kit and the logo.

Who are there rivals?
They have a few different rivals, like most teams in the NFL. But one of the biggest rivals for the Falcons is the Carolina Panthers. The Falcons and the Panthers both love to pound the ball on the ground and play hard hitting defence  It means their meetings are not for the faint-hearted and can often decide the division winner.

Brief History

During their run to the Super Bowl in 1998, the Falcons performed a touchdown celebration dance, the Dirty Bird craze swept the NFL. This was their only Super Bowl appearance and they lost to the Denver Broncos 34-19 in Miami, Florida.

Who to watch out for?
Matt Ryan. He is number two for the Atlanta Falcons and plays quarterback. Matt Ryan announced himself to the NFL with a 62-yard touchdown on his very first professional pass. The Falcons quarterback led the team to the playoffs in his rookie season.

Arizona Cardinals - Who Are They ?

This is the start of 32 posts where I'm going to talk about all the NFL teams. This may help some UK NFL fans decide what team is for them. Since the order of teams will be A-Z, we will start of with the Arizona Cardinals.

Where are they from?
Phoenix, Arizona. Phoenix is a desert city, make sure you pack your hat if you plan on visiting as it's ridiculously hot in the summer, in the 110 degree range, but dry, making it slightly more tolerable. It's beautiful in the winter, more in the 60's to 70's. The incredible heat makes water parks a popular local attraction.

What do they look like?
This will give you a good idea of the look of the Arizona Cardinals. You will see the kit and the logo.

Who are there rivals?
That would be the Arizona Cardinals vs the San Francisco 49ers.
These teams are rivals because they always do battle in the NFC West Division. The 49ers have 5 super bowls to boast about but it's the Cardinals who enjoyed there recent success by reaching the title game. The Cardinals feel it's their turn, whilst the 49ers feel they should be respected by Cardinals fans. This makes for a very interesting grudge match.

Brief History
They are the NFL's oldest team. The cardinals are also the founder members of the NFL. They actually began playing as the Chicago Cardinals in 1920 and have also called St. Louis home before settling in Arizona.

Who to watch out for?
Larry Fitzgerald, number 11. Lot's of people agree that he is the best wide receiver in the the NFL today. He set a single post season record of 546 receiving yards, 30 receptions, and 7 touchdown receptions in 2008.

Vikings beat Steelers

Well done the Vikings, unlucky the Steelers.
To start off, let's make this clear, the Steelers are having a dreadful season, going 0-4.
Now the Steelers have no chance of making the playoffs.

But the Vikings are 1-3, this isn't too good but atleast they still have the chance of making the playoffs.

A crowd of 83,519 saw a thrilling finish as the Steelers came close to scoring in the final seconds which would have forced overtime.
But Everson Griffen sacked Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger to clinch Minnesota's first victory of the season.
Vikings quarterback Matt Cassel said: "What an amazing experience."
Coach Leslie Frazier added: "It feels great to get a first 'home' win of the season even if we had to come all the way to London to get it.
"I'll always have a special place in my heart for Wembley Stadium. Thank you London for helping us get that first win. With all the noise we felt at times like we were back at home."
Pittsburgh, who contested three of the last eight Super Bowls, have now lost their opening four games of the season for the first time since 1968 There was a quick response from Pittsburgh as Le'Veon Bell took Roethlisberger's pass to score but Adrian Peterson restored the Vikings' 10-point lead with a spectacular 60-yard touchdown.Minnesota started strongly, opening the scoring with Blair Walsh's 54-yard field goal before stretching their lead to 10-0 through Greg Jennings's touchdown.
Pittsburgh's Shaun Suisham and Minnesota's Walsh kicked field goals to leave the half-time score at 20-10.
The Steelers made the perfect start to the third quarter when Bell forced his way over, but they then conceded two touchdowns in as many minutes as Peterson and Jennings both claimed their second of the game for a 34-17 lead.
Jerricho Cotchery's touchdown kept the Steelers's hopes alive early in the fourth quarter before a Suisham field goal cut Minnesota's lead to 34-27.
The Steelers were closing in on the Vikings' endzone and looked set to level the match before Griffen stripped the ball off Roethlisberger on the six-yard line with 19 seconds left.

Minnesota Vikings Teach London Kids American Football

The Minnesota Vikings have touchdown in London and their first stop took them to Wembley Stadium for a community day with school children from the local London Borough of Brent.
Before they even stopped at their hotel, the entire Vikings team, coaching staff and cheerleaders hosted some of London’s luckiest kids for a day of NFL inspired activities and drills. Adam, 11, who took part in the punting drill, said: “It was a really special day, I’ve never seen American football before and now I love it! The players are really funny and so big!”

Pittsburgh Steelers vs Minnesota Vikings @ Wembley

The first of the two NFL Internation Series games takes place today.
The Minnesota Vikings vs the Pittsburgh Steelers 6pm (UK times)
Both teams are actually 0-3 (0 wins, 3 losses) down this season, combining a total of 0-6.
That is a bad record, but I think that the record will make the game all the more interesting, this is because the teams are going to be clawing at each other to get the win as they need it to have a chance to get into the playoffs. One things for sure, everybody watching the game taking place in the legendary Wembley stadium is gonna' have a lot of fun.
Both teams need a win

How are the teams liking London?

Lets start in how the teams are preparing for the international series game.
Pittsburgh arrived in London on Friday morning and had just one practice session in England.
Minnesota in the other hands took the completely different approach, they have been in England all week, training and staying at the Grove Hotel in Watford

How are the teams doing this season?

Minnesota opened with two losses to NFC North rivals Detroit and Chicago before a stunning upset at home to Cleveland.
Pittsburgh, meanwhile, were rocked by an opening-day defeat by Tennessee at Heinz Field before losing to Cincinnati in week two and again at home to Chicago last Sunday.
